Events - Worcester City Runs

Volunteer with us at at Worcester Race course  - 13th September 2026

At Acorns we provide care and support for life limited or life threatened children and their families. We are a charity, and our fundraising is vital to enable us to continue providing care and support to the children: it costs around £13 million a year to run our care services.

Acorns is the official charity partner for Worcester City Runs. Runners can take part in a 10k or half marathon. We are looking for event village and cheer volunteers to support at Worcester City Runs on Sunday 13th September

What's involved?

• You as volunteers will be supporting at the Acorns stand and engaging with our runners and members of the public
• As a Cheer Squad you will be cheering our runners on as they fly round the course
• Mascot – Alex the Acorn

How much time will it take? 

Any time that you can support between 8am to 2pm

We’re looking for volunteers who are

• Approachable and happy to raise awareness about Acorns
• Versatile and willing to adapt and help out
• Support and cheer runners along
